Making Disciples – Grades 7-8
What is “Making Disciples”?
Making Disciples is part of our confirmation program offered at Messiah Lutheran Church for junior high students in Grades 7-8. While it is a major component of our confirmation program, all junior high students may participate whether or not they plan to become confirmed members of Messiah. “Making Disciples” meets on the Second Sunday of every month, May through September, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. beginning with a light supper.
At “Making Disciples,” teens are matched with an adult mentor to further explore their faith at a deeper level as they continue to live a life of faith in the Covenant of their baptism..
Other activities are planned throughout the year to enrich the learning experience through exploration of faith, service activities, and fun events. For a complete overview of Messiah’s Confirmation Ministry, visit our Confirmation Ministry page under the Christian Educaion tab.
