Grace and Peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ, who calls us to faithfulness in life and mission!

As we enter the busyness of the summer months, let us remember together the substance of what Christ calls us to. It isn’t the busyness, or even the beauty of the season, or, for that matter, the many events that make up our calendars. Rather, it is the ministry of reconciliation and healing, of building unity and confronting evil, of working for peace and plowing a faithful path through the thickets of God’s world here in South Williamsport and the surrounding area.

As we live through the busyness that the summer brings, let’s keep our eyes on the intent of Christ’s call—with the aim that Messiah church might continue our ministries and mission, so that our neighborhood and all our children will know God’s love and Jesus’ teachings. We need to be a witness to faith lived boldly in the midst of this community. So many fun and exciting ministry events are planned in the coming months.

Having said all that, I do want to encourage each member to continue your support throughout the summer months even in the midst of travels and family commitments. The reality is that the Church especially during the summer months needs your financial support, not just for administrative overhead, but to underwrite the entire ministry we are called to provide to this neighborhood. Thank you in advance for your generosity and continued support to Christ’s ministry of Messiah church.

See you in Church,

Pastor Josh
